Choedaypung Monastery in Bumthang
In 2012, Kyabje Tang Rinpoche established the Choedeypung Monastery in Chumey, Bumthang, with about 130 monks living and practising there. This monastery was first built by the great Yogi Lama Yeshi in 1966, fulfilling the prophecy of Kyabje Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje and Polu Khenpo Rinpoche. After the parinirvana of the Yogi Lama Yeshi, local people officially offered the monastery to Kyabje Tang Rinpoche. Until now, it has been Rinpoche’s main seat.
