Kyabje Tang Rinpoche has given refuge to 18 young boys who became part of the monastic community at the Choedaypung Dratshang at Bumthang. Ripoche gave each of them blankets, pillows and dishes. Most of these young monks are orphans or come from poor families who sent them to the monastery in order to receive shelter and education.
