On 12 February, coinciding with Dakini Day, Khandro Tshedrum Lhamo, together with members of the Kurukule Tshongpa, visited the sacred Kheng Buli Tsho. A Kurukulle tshokor and fire puja were devotedly offered, pleasing the deities and invoking their boundless blessings so that all may be filled with auspiciousness and harmony. The sacred occasion concluded with a graceful lingdro dance, symbolizing joy, merit, and spiritual fulfillment.
Commemorating Longchen Rabjam, 2026
To commemorate the parinirvāṇa of the great master Longchen Rabjam, monks from Choedaypung Monastery performed a puja presided over by Tulku Shenphen. Meanwhile, His Holiness Tang Rinpoche and a small group of students went to meditate in Longchenpa’s cave. During the meditation, Rinpoche reported receiving a pure vision, through which he wrote down a treasure text.
Dzogchen teachings 2026
At the request of a group of naljorpas and naljormas who successfully completed the Anuyoga retreat, His Holiness Tang Rinpoche agreed to bestow Atiyoga transmission and teachings. Rinpoche has also established a steering committee for the Yoedsel Dzogchen Tshogpa, which will be responsible for organizing Dzogpachenpo retreats and teachings in the future.
Ling Gesar tsok puja
The completion of the Anuyoga tsalung retreat coincided with the celebration of King Gesar’s birthday. Yogis and yoginis performed episodes from the life of this legendary hero.
Tsalung winter retreat 2026
The annual Anuyoga winter retreat began on January 13 at Choedaypung Monastery, bringing together nearly 200 naljorpas and naljormas practicing in two separate groups. From early morning until late evening, under the supervision of His Holiness Tang Rinpoche, participants engaged in offering pujas and intensive tsalung, tummo, and tiglé practices — including sitting in cold temperatures while meditating on the generation of inner heat.
Choedaypung community participates in GMC event
A four-day Gelphu Mindfulness City (GMC) event began today under the guidance of His Royal Highness the King of Bhutan. Participants included Team 22, the BIFA China–Bhutan group, senior teachers such as H.H. Tang Rinpoche and Jigme Tenzin Rinpoche, as well as members of the monastic community. The program unfolded in a spirit of joy, gratitude, and collective inspiration.

Greening the Monastery on a Sacred Occasion
Today is the 7th day of the lunar calendar, an auspicious occasion marking Sagadawa and the birthday of Lord Buddha. It is also the anniversary of the coronation of the Fourth King of Bhutan.
