The ongoing 100 thousand recitations of the Tara Sadhana (སྒྲོལ་ཆོག་འབུམ་མཆོད) which started ་on the 9th June 2022 and has been performed everyday by the Choedaypung community led by Kyabje Tang Rinpoche at the new Dolma Lhakhang (Tara Temple) in Bumthang will finish at the end of this month. All devotes who wish to make offerings are welcome.
Kurukulle tshog at Chodaypung
On the auspicious day of Guru Rinpoche, Khandro Tshedum Lhamo together with members of the Kurukulla Foundation and local monks performed a special tshog offering puja. Praises composed by Khandrola and ritual dances were also offered.
Celebrating Dalai Lama’s 87th birthday
The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, was born on 6 July 1935. To celebrate the 87th birthday of Gyalwa Rinpoche, offerings and prayers were made at our monastery.
Commemorating Mipham Rinpoche’s parinirvana
Choedeypung monastery celebrated the parinirvana of Mipham Rinpoche by conducting the Mipham Ladrup ritual by His Holines Khenchen Jigme Phunshok followed by offering of the exposition, debate, and composition.
Green Tara pujas སྒྲོལ་ཆོག་འབུམ་མཆོད།
On the 9th of June 2022, monks at Chodaypung monastery started performing long rituals of Green Tara for which they had been preparing for weeks. Over the period of two months, they will recite mantras, make 100 000 butter lamp offerings, 100 000 water offering, and 100 000 tsog offerings.

Psychology talks for Chodaypung monks
During his stay in Choedaypung Dratshang, prof. Igor Pietkiewicz PhD gave a series of talks about mental heath and well-being. He also answered numerous questions from monks about different behaviours and community issues from the perspective of Western psychology and psychiatry.

His Eminence Tang Rinpoche and monks from the Choedaypung Monastery have performed light offering prayers (མར་མེའི་སྨོན་ལམ་) for the peace in Ukraine 🇺🇦 and for the COVID-19 pandemic to cease in Bhutan and all over the world.
Rinpoche during tsalung retreat
The freezing night on the 4th of December. The snow is falling on the monastery in Bumthang Chumey. The close student of Khenchen Jigme Phunstok, Trulku Choney Rangshar (known as Tang Rinpoche) remains in his meditation house without electricity and heaters. The snow has melted at night and the house is surrounded with water. It has not been melted by the sunlight which is surprising to observers.
