Kyabje Tang Rinpoche has arrived in Tama, and Zhemgang for an 8-days drupchen and three days of shingdrup (ཞིང་སྒྲུབ) held from June 25.
Ling Gesar birthday celebration
On the 15th day of the 12th month of the Bhutanese calendar, students of Kyabje Tang Rinpoche celebrated the memory of Ling Gesar with prayers, offerings and special dances.
Consecration of Buddha scriptures
Kyabje Tang Rinpoche bestowed brief oral transmission of the Kama Terma Dagnang during the consecration ceremony of Buddha scriptures (KAMA) at the Inner Science Education Research Library, Paro College of Education, Bhutan.
Jampel zhidrup program 2023
An annual 5-days Jampel zhidrup program led by Kyabje Tang Rinpoche. This year, the program was held at the Paro College of Education. It started on January 4, coinciding with the 19th anniversary of Lama Choje Jigme Phunshok’s parinirvana. Kyabje Tang Rinpoche bestowed numerous empowerments, oral transmissions and was giving instructions to the gathering.
Zhitro for Mogtrul Vajra Master
A ritual of the peaceful and wrathful deities (Zhitro) was performed at Choedaypyng monastery in Bumthang, Bhutan for the death of Mogtrul Vajra Master.
Sa Yi Nyingpo Drupchö
On the 17th of August, a three-day long Sa Yi Nyingpo drupchö started at our monastery in Bumthang. Sa Yi Nyingpo (Tib. ས་ཡི་སྙིང་པོ་) also known as Kshitigarbha is one of the eight great bodhisattvas who vowed not to attain buddhahood until all hell realms are emptied. His activity particularly focus on helping beings suffering in the these realms.
Ongoing Tara Sadhana
The ongoing 100 thousand recitations of the Tara Sadhana (སྒྲོལ་ཆོག་འབུམ་མཆོད) which started ་on the 9th June 2022 and has been performed everyday by the Choedaypung community led by Kyabje Tang Rinpoche at the new Dolma Lhakhang (Tara Temple) in Bumthang will finish at the end of this month. All devotes who wish to make offerings are welcome.
Kurukulle tshog at Chodaypung
On the auspicious day of Guru Rinpoche, Khandro Tshedum Lhamo together with members of the Kurukulla Foundation and local monks performed a special tshog offering puja. Praises composed by Khandrola and ritual dances were also offered.
Celebrating Dalai Lama’s 87th birthday
The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, was born on 6 July 1935. To celebrate the 87th birthday of Gyalwa Rinpoche, offerings and prayers were made at our monastery.
Commemorating Mipham Rinpoche’s parinirvana
Choedeypung monastery celebrated the parinirvana of Mipham Rinpoche by conducting the Mipham Ladrup ritual by His Holines Khenchen Jigme Phunshok followed by offering of the exposition, debate, and composition.
