Teachings and transmissions to Rinpoche’s own termas in Spain
At the invitation of the Rigdzin Community led by Namkha Rinpoche, His Holiness was requested to bestow the empowerment of Kalachakra from a terma revealed by himself in front of the Stupa at Drepung monastery in India. His Holiness will also bestow the empowerment, oral transmission and instructions of the root practice of Düdo (Tib. འདུས་མདོ; The sutra that embodies all). The event will be held in the mountain retreat centre Namkha Dzong in Spain

His Holiness Choni Rangshar Rinpoche, also known as Tang Rinpoche, is a highly realized master of Tibetan Buddhism. Born in 1963 in the Kham province of Tibet, he was recognized as the incarnation of Kharchen Pelgyi Wangchuk, one of the 25 main disciples of the great mahasiddha Padmasambhava, who brought the complete transmission of Buddhism to Tibet and Bhutan in the 8th century. Tang Rinpoche received comprehensive education from many teachers, especially his root guru, His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche of Larung Gar. Through the instructions he received, he attained the realisation of the the Great Perfection (Dzogchen).
Due to the political situation, he left Tibet and settled in Bhutan, where he received citizenship and oversees a monastery as well as numerous meditation centers. He is a yogi whose children have also been recognized as tulkus (incarnations of great teachers). Rinpoche’s main residence is in the Bumthang province. He regularly travels and teaches worldwide, visiting his centers in Asia, Australia, and Europe, bestowing empowerments and instructions for practices he received from his masters.
Tang Rinpoche is a humble and warm person, valued for his kindness, extensive knowledge, and experience. Among Buddhist teachers, he is recognized as a particularly exceptional tertön—discoverer of hidden teachings that spontaneously arise in his mind along with memories of the situations in which he received them from Padmasambhava.
