Yangdrup Chenmo 2025

A Sacred Gathering at Kuenselphodrang, Thimphu

The Yangdrup Chenmo, a grand eight-day spiritual gathering organized by Choedaypung Monastery and led by His Holiness Tang Rinpoche, concluded on 10 July 2025 at Kuenselphodrang, Thimphu. The event, held from 3–10 July, brought together thousands of devotees from across the country to receive profound blessings and teachings.

Throughout the eight days, His Holiness bestowed a series of important empowerments, oral transmissions, and instructions drawn from the vast Buddhist tradition. Highlights included empowerments related to the Thousand BuddhasMedicine BuddhaGuru Rinpoche in wrathful and peaceful formsBodhisattva KsitigarbhaJetsun DrolmaVajrasattvaVajrakilayaBardo Thödrol, Ling Gesar, and Buddha Amitayus, among others. The schedule of rituals and teachings was closely aligned with auspicious days in the lunar calendar, enhancing the spiritual significance of each session.

In addition to the empowerments, the Yangdrup Chenmo featured powerful collective prayers for the welfare of all beings, including protective rituals (kago)dedication prayers, and liberation ceremonies for the deceased. Many devotees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to deepen their spiritual understanding and strengthen their connection to the Dharma under the direct guidance of His Holiness Tang Rinpoche.

The Yangdrup Chenmo 2025 at Kuenselphodrang will be remembered not only for its vast scope of blessings and transmissions but also for the spirit of devotion and unity it inspired among all participants.
